Terms of Participation
These terms apply to everyone applying to take part in Malta's Superstar, produced by FGF Stall Ltd. at The Room, by Jungle Joy in Malta. By submitting an application you accept them.
1.Organiser
Malta's Superstar is organised by FGF Stall Ltd. ("we", "us", the "organiser"), producing at The Room, by Jungle Joy, The Room, by Jungle Joy — address TBA, Malta. Questions about these terms go to hello@example.com.
2.Who can take part
You must be 16 or older on the day of the show. Applicants aged 16 or 17 need written consent from a parent or legal guardian, collected as part of the application; we may ask for proof of identity, age and guardian consent before confirming a place.
Acts may be solo performers or groups of up to eight people. Employees of the organiser and the venue, and their immediate family, may not compete.
3.Free of charge
Applying and taking part is free. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary. You cover your own travel, accommodation, costumes and instruments unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4.Application is not a guaranteed slot
Sending an application does not entitle you to a callback or a place on the bill. Shortlisting, callbacks and the final line-up are decided by the organiser and jury at their sole discretion. Decisions are final and we cannot enter into correspondence about individual outcomes.
5.Callback and show attendance
If you are selected, you agree to attend the callback (Callbacks TBA), any technical rehearsal and the show itself (December 2026 (date TBA)) at the times we give you, and to tell us immediately if you can no longer attend. Late arrival or no-show may cost you your slot, which we may reassign.
6.Performance content
Acts must be your own work or material you are entitled to perform. No hate speech, harassment, discrimination, nudity, or content that is unlawful or degrading.
Dangerous elements — fire, blades, aerial work, animals, pyrotechnics, hazardous props — need our written approval in advance and may be refused. Music licensing for the event is handled by the venue; you must tell us in advance which recordings or compositions you use.
7.Technical and timing rules
Performance length is set by the organiser and confirmed with you before the show; backing tracks must be supplied in the format and by the deadline we specify. The venue's sound, light and stage equipment is used as provided, operated by venue staff. We may stop or fade an act that overruns.
8.Code of conduct
We want a warm, safe room. Treat crew, jury, audience and fellow performers with respect. No intoxication on stage, no damage to the venue, no bullying or harassment in any form. We may exclude anyone who breaks these rules, before, during or after the show.
9.Filming and photography
The event will be photographed, filmed and recorded. By taking part you accept that the organiser may record the event and use the material as described in our Media Release. The audience may also take photos and video.
10.Prize
The prize is: Prize to be announced. Prizes are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be handed to another person. Any taxes, duties or personal charges arising from the prize are the winner's responsibility. Where a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute one of equal or greater value.
11.Changes, cancellation and force majeure
We may change the format, dates, jury, venue or running order, or postpone or cancel the show, in particular for reasons beyond our reasonable control (illness, weather, strike, official orders, venue failure, epidemic). We will tell participants as soon as we can. No compensation is payable for costs you incurred.
12.Liability
You take part at your own risk and are responsible for your own health, equipment and belongings. Our liability is limited to intent and gross negligence, except where liability cannot be limited by law — in particular for injury to life, body or health. We are not liable for lost or damaged instruments, costumes or personal items.
13.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction. If a clause is invalid, the rest stays in force. Mandatory consumer protection rights are unaffected.
